This is Bordeaux with its boots on, not a black tie dinner jacket. Cuvée Bacchus comes straight from the Bouron family’s vines in Entre-Deux-Mers, where organics and biodynamics aren’t a marketing hook but simply the way things have always been done.
The 2020 vintage is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Petit Verdot which is generous and grounded. Black fruit takes the lead, lifted by a flicker of spice and a tasteful touch of oak that adds warmth without weighing things down. The tannins keep it firm yet friendly, it's the kind of wine that wouldn’t care one bit if you took it out for dinner or just poured it for some casual sipping on the couch.
