Langoa Barton has always played the long game. Still in the Barton family after two centuries, it delivers wines that feel both timeless and grounded. In the 2015 vintage, Langoa shows Saint-Julien at its most prolific and charming.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc which has been aged in barrel for 18 month. At Langoa Barton 60% New Oak is somewhat of a signature house style. The 2015 is just walking through the entrance of its drinking window and making quiet an immediate impression. Layers of blackcurrant, plum and cherry, lifted by cedar, graphite and a savoury tobacco edge all backed up by a firm, yet fine tanning structure.
