Passing Clouds is Muri’s bright and refreshing sparkling blend with just 0.4% alcohol. It was the first of the iconic Muri range ever made my Murray back in the days when he set up shop. Fermented gooseberries, apples and quince are lifted by green tea and foraged woodruff, coming together in a lively drink with gentle bubbles, crisp fruit and subtle herbal notes.

Each element is fermented separately and blended at the final stage to create balance and depth before bottling. The result is not a copy of wine but a characterful expression of fermentation in its own right. (CONTAINS GLUTEN)

Muri is an urban blendery in the heart of Copenhagen creating some of the most exciting non-alcoholic drinks today. Their approach combines a chef’s palate with science and the natural beauty of fermentation to produce blends that are layered, complex and balanced.

The team behind Muri worked at some of the most innovative names in food and drink including Noma and Empirical Spirits where fermentation and flavour exploration were part of everyday life. After years of working with alcohol they set out to bring the same creativity and craftsmanship to the world of no and low-alcohol drinks.

Each blend is built from a range of fermentations such as fruit, tea, foraged botanicals and grains. These are combined with precision to create depth, texture and structure in the same way a winemaker or cidermaker would build a cuvée. The result is a collection of drinks that do not try to imitate wine but instead stand confidently on their own. They are food-friendly, characterful and full of personality.

Muri shows that the ritual and pleasure of wine does not have to rely on alcohol. It can come from flavour, craft and imagination.
