05.11.2026 The Judgement of Godalming

50 years ago, British wine merchant Stephen Spurrier organised what would become known as the Judgement of Paris- a blind tasting that pitted some of California’s finest Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons against the great wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux.

The result sent shockwaves through the wine world to say the least.

This Wednesday, we’re bringing the famous tasting to Godalming. The Judgement of Godalming will follow the same format, with new challengers from across the globe taking on France once again in a blind tasting format.

No labels. No reputations. Just the wines in your glass. Who will come out on top 50 years later? You decide!

This will be a seated, casual tasting at our communal table so expect good company, plenty of stories in a fun and relaxed environment.

When? Thursday, 5th November at 19:30
Where? Trinkfluss Wines, Godalming
Tickets: £55 per person 
What’s included? Apart from a good time you will have a guided tasting of 8 wines poured on the night plus a spread of cheese and antipasti. Plus you get 10% off any purchases on the night. 

We kick off at 19:30 and wrap things up around 21:30. Tickets can be purchased in store or online.
