Bodegas de La Riva winemaker Willy Perez says: “You need to feel the ocean in a Manzanilla Sherry”. And he couldn't be more right about this. A quick sniff, a slight swirl and thoughtful sip and you will be able to smell and taste the ocean. The only thing you won't be able to do is see the damn thing, unless of course you happen to be lucky enough to sip your Manzanilla at the beach with an ocean view.
The Palomino grapes for this Sherry come from the Casilla Verdes family estate about 7km from the sea in Pago Miraflores Baja. The Palomino vines cover the regions famous chalky albariza soil. It’s a complex wine with notes of acacia, soy a fresh saline note at the end.
