If the Champalou winemaking were a song, it would be "Try a Little Tenderness". This word - tenderness - keeps coming up when anyone describes this family's charming, joyful, beautiful, ethereal wines from the heart of Vouvray in the Loire Valley.

Catherine and Didier Champalou, who both came from winemaking stock, started the winery in 1983 and have gradually and naturally built their reputation for producing some of the finest wines of the region. They have been handing over to their daughter Céline, who gained experience in New Zealand, South Africa, the Languedoc, Corsica, and Canada. In their loving hands, the region's celebrated Chenin Blanc perfectly models all its guises: dry, sweet and sparkling.

They are true custodians of the Vouvray region, honouring tradition, preserving the land they farm through careful sustainable viticulture, and producing wines that proudly represent this special place in the world. Nothing is forced or manipulated - merely coaxed with great care and tenderness to reveal its innate beauty.
