The creation of a second wine has led to greater selection and it feels like there is more precision during the winemaking. Batailley is always a favourite when it comes to drinking claret for its good value, and easy-going earthy Pauillac character. The new style of Batailley is much more sleek and refined.
Beautiful deep colour almost black. Intense nose of ripe and vanilla. Round, melted and concentrated in the mouth, the wine is expressed in an almost perfect structure. A great vintage and an undisputed success of one of the most beautiful crus of Pauillac. This is a very impressive, modern Batailley.
Grape: 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot & 3% Petit Verdot
