David & Nadia's Swartland wines are much admired for their elegance and grace, and clear love for their region and making honest, pure wines that represent its land and people. They have an especial love for old vine Chenin Blanc, which makes up the majority of the Aristargos blend (Chenin Blanc, Sémillon, Verdelho, Clairette Blanche, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Colombar). From mostly granitic soils of the Paardeberg, where dry land farmed bush vines have stood the test of time, they feel the wine showcases the ultimate reason why Chenin Blanc is their main focus in the Swartland. It's a layered, honeyed and waxy cuvée with subtle skin contact bitterness, racy acidity and pear, quince and lemongrass flavours.

David & Nadia is the husband and wife duo David & Nadia Sadie (no direct relation to the other Sadies), whose Swartland driven project is focused on a spectrum of organic, old and dry land bush vine vineyards from different areas with different soil types throughout the Swartland, farmed by like-minded people. David & Nadia are members of the Swartland Independent Producers.

In the vineyard they aim for biological farming and in the cellar work is as natural as possible. It is all about the soil and vineyards after all. They believe in a pure, fresh and natural style where site and soil are at work with minimal influence from a winemaking point of view.
