This gorgeously aromatic Loire Sauvignon Blanc comes from a tiny family plot inherited by master sommelier Dimitri Mesnard in Quincy, south of Sancerre. This is very classic Loire Sauvignon, with subtle stone fruit and citrus on the nose with lemon flesh, more stone fruit and minerality on the palate with a fresh finish.

Dimitri Mesnard MS passed the notoriously tough Court of Master Sommelier Diploma exam in 2003 after decades of experience at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and the Hotel Du Vin Group where he was group food and beverage manager. Mesnard was also under the tutelage of Henri Chapon MS and Gerard Basset MS, MW and went on to establish the renowned Ecole du Vin wine school. In 2008, he joined Jackson Family Wines as the European prestige account manager and in 2013 was promoted to international brand ambassador.

He took the responsibility of inheriting this family plot very seriously, and enlisted the advice of his neighbours, the Tatin family, on the best Sauvignon Blanc vines to use for his inaugural vintage in 2018.

The vineyard is managed through sustainable viticulture: grass is planted between the rows to control the vigour of the plant, the team limit the number of bunches and employ soil tillage for weed management. Thanks to this work, they haven’t used any products for grey mould for the last four years. They also do not use any CMR products and are Terra Vitis certified.
