Husband and wife team Filipa Pato & William Wouters' 3B Rosé is a traditional method sparkling rosé made from their favourite varieties, Baga and Bical, from Barraida (hence the 3Bs).

Filipa and William practice biodynamic viticulture and the grapes, grown on chalk and clay with cooling Atlantic exposure, are hand harvested then lightly macerated and gently pressed, fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, unfiltered and unclarified, where it remains for 9 months on the lees. Zero dosage.

Expect an expressive bouquet of crunchy red fruit (raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and pomegranate) plus aniseed and herbs, with an elegant, and creamy mouthfeel, persistent minerality and a refreshing finish. A perfect aperitif and excellent with Asian cuisine, and incredibly good value.

Filipa Pato and William Wouters are a husband and wife team who are living the dream and making wine in Filipa's hometown of Óis do Bairro, just 15 km from the Atlantic Ocean, in the DOC of Barraida.

The region has for centuries produced bold red wines from indigenous red variety Baga and is considered the best terroir for the little known Bical, which makes high quality white and sparkling wines.

Filipa and William saved several of their plots from being uprooted, focusing on their beloved indigenous varieties Baga and Bical, as well as Arinto, Cercial and Maria Gomes. They practice biodynamic viticulture and minimal intervention in the winery to create true "terroir" wines under the philosophy "authentic wines without makeup".

Filipa is a trained chemical engineer with viticultural and winemaking experience in Bordeaux, Mendoza and Margaret River and daughter of Barraida's most famous producer, Luis Pato, while William is a chef, restaurateur and sommelier from Antwerp.
