Rosso di Montalcino, the little sibling of Brunello di Montalcino, is the more approachable of the two but don't be fooled into underestimating it. In the hands of a Maestro like Alberto Pagliantini Rosso di Montalcino is elevated into a league of its own.
With a sustainable farming approach and organic practices, these high altitude vineyards really showcase a different side to Montalcino, a region that tends to be drier and warmer than most Chianti zones.
Alberto really gets the most out of his vines and crafts a Rosso that is bursting with tangy red cherry fruit and some mesmerizing earthy spice on the nose. Softly ripe tannins and a juicy
fresh finish make this a real joy to drink.
