Grus from Vinedos de Alcohuaz is a blend of predominantly Syrah with the rest made up of Petite Sirah, Touriga Nacional, Malbec, Carinena and Petit Verdot. The vineyards are located at an altitude of well over 1700 metres, allowing the grapes to become fully ripe but without loosing their fresh acidity. Named after a constellation visible above the Elqui Valley, whose clear skies attract stargazers from around the world.
A great introduction to the wines of Alcohuaz. Bright red fruit, violets, pepper, granite and a superb level of freshness. Vibrant and expressive from beginning to end with a silky smooth finish. Only 15,272 bottles made.
